Re: Gebirgsjager Khaki Reversible Parka Size L - XL

Hi Steve,
again, you may well be correct and the winter Parka may well never have appeared in this colour.

lm not wanting the Parka for reenactment, so historical accuracey isnt a concern.

Re: Wanted:- Gebirgsjager Khaki Reversible Parka Size L - XL

I'm sceptical that they ever existed , never seen an original , or picture of one , never seen the item in any books on GJ or their uniforms . You may very well be correct Halle. Rather than Khaki, maybe biege or tan would be a better description of the colour, which l believe was used in the Anora...

Re: jeep111 wheres our stuff

My memory of criminal law is a bit rusty but lm sure there is an offence of obtaining property by deception here ;- lf it can be shown that he obtained property [ i,e money ] from you with the intention of not providing you with the goods [ i,e decieving you ] paid for, then l believe the above offe...

Fallschirmjaeger boots

Hi all,
is there any historical evidence that shows Fallschirmjaeger wearing jackboots [ rather than Para boots ], with their trousers bloused over the lower boots leg, minus gaiters.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Help with photo content

Odd isnt it.

Also noticed that the pleat in the middle of the breast pocket appears to go all the way down to the waist band.

Didnt think that Coveralls had pleated pockets. Could this be a private purchase etc.

Re: Police Swoop On Military Gun Collector

l dont so much blame the Police as they could be following Home Office Guidlines or Directives laid down by their Chief Constable and thereby local to their particular force area. But l do blame the CPS. They generally dont proceed with cases unless there is a better than fifty fifty chance of winni...

Yes maybe he should have been a tad more mindfull of the ramifications of leaving things "in view" in a public place. l feel sorry for the guy having to go through all of this when it was all so un neccessary. What l cant get my ears around is why it went as far as it did. When the Firearm...

Re: Police Swoop On Military Gun Collector

l think he must have got his legal council to "bump up" the value of the item to give it more credence in the eyes of the court.

The more expensive and rare he can show it to be [ Get the court to believe ], then the less likelyhood there would be of it being sent for destruction.
