Re: Japanese Infantry weapons
how much do you want to pay for a deactivated arisaka rifle? I agree that 800+ is a joke, i was selling them for about 400-500 when i was dealing in them, if your serious i can probaly get my hands on one for you. I wouldn't bother trying to convert something else, they never look great and let down...

Re: Gomen Nasai, Sumimasen
Welcome to the forum. There is a Japanese group in the UK which i formed 11 years ago now which is still up and running, although i myself have a limited input into it these days, it still has a great core of young guys who are extremely dedicated to portraying the forces of the IJA. If there is any...

Re: 72 years ago today
rest in peace in regards to all who perished in a cowardly attack . How was it a cowardly attack? The americans had every opportunity to realise the japanese were coming and decieded for whatever reason to ignore the threat. A minesweeper spotted a midget submarine periscope outside the harbour ent...

Re: JRA
All change for this year, the group is now under the control of Steve Holden who most would have seen portraying the officer in the group. The reason for the change is mainly down to the fact that i have grown totally sick and tired of the whole hobby and have moved away to try other things, first o...

Re: Abucay Defense line battlefield tour, Bataan
Very good impressions guys , you really portray the Japanese soldiers well . Not sure about the puttees as I'm no expert on Jap uniforms , Tanaka , you'll have to come out of retirement .... would rather punch myself repeatably in the face mate than do that lol. Doing the chalke valley show ...

not bad, although it would be nice if atleast one guy in the unit could put his puttees on correctly.

As good as, going to attend Daves show in Wiltshire and then concentrate on other things, my chauffeuring buisness and banger racing, hopefully the other guys in the group will continue on with it but i don't know at this point.

Re: Stay clear of HiKi!
There stuff is crap, reenacting isnt cheap, do it once, do it right. Maybe German reenactors are too used to being ripped off that they accept it as the norm these days. Hiki's Japanese kit is SPOT ON and cheap as chips. In this day and age it is possible to get quality without paying Savile Row pr...

Re: Interesting question - kneeling while captured
I'd say in Europe WW2 prob never, though it's the sort of thing the Japs may have gone in for! Any particular reason for that? A prisoner on his knees is a prisoner under control, a prisoner on his knees cannot kick up in the balls and run off. There are plenty of photos of Japanese soldiers with p...
