Re: QUALITY 98K SLING

They do the job however; the leather is very stiff so you'll need to give a good soaking with leather feed. Failing that I'd hang out for an original. All my leather straps I bought from sof or rau but i've replaced the lot with original bits. Alot more comfortable. Obviously the above is IMHO TTFN ...

Re: The Great SS Debate.....

I know I said I wouldn't post again but i've been following the thread and there have been some bloody good discussion (quite rare as usually threads like this descend into a bitch fest if not from outside the runes then certainly from within). At the end of the day you all chose to wear the runes s...

Re: Hello from Saltburn-By-The Sea

Welcome Feldwebel Straw Lots of expertise and experience for you to tap into. If you plummed to early war Heer then the only problem you may encounter is obtaining stone grey trousers which was the iconic look of the German soldier at that time. Not impossible to find though ... ve have our sources ...

Re: The Great SS Debate.....

When people ask me why SS (I don't get asked very often though, surprisingly) I start by explaining the difference between the two branches, before going on to talk about uniforms, fighting record etc etc... I have to say. This is one of the best replies, concerning the question, that I think I've ...

Re: Shop to be investigated for selling Nazi state insignia

Ok so it probably wasn't a good career move to have the garments hanging in the shop window

But for goodness sake, slap on the wrist and a suggestion he might want to move the stuff inside the shop. Blown out of all proportion ... as usual.

Re: Show us you!

Hey Steiner. May I introduce you to Das Heer? Applications forms are always available and we hold a cracking wine and cheese night at the end of each day. They're generic pattern for early war and can be bought from this firm. They are spot and excellent quality. http://www.regaliaspecialist.com The...

Re: Show us you!

Had a look at the links you provided herr unknown soldier. The SBG pic was taken in Feb 2009 on Belvedere Battery at Fort Amherst at their shake down in readiness for the season. It def wasn't at this years shake down as it pissed hard the whole weekend.

Re: Show us you!

Thanks for the comments PD. As always delicately put lol Yup. The boots are from RAU. Weisser would, in such cases, portray a wailing banshee as he launches forth with his trench knife. Hey Paul. Initially I had it face in but, as you and many other hardened reenactors have learnt through experience...

Re: Show us you!

here are a couple of pictures of me, one as May 40, the other as Marineartillerist/Marineinfanterist Nice to see early war. Not many people portray it which is shame. This is my garb http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/ad154/DasHeer/General/Mefieldkit022.jpg http://i931.photobucket.com/albums/ad154/...
