ok ..a brain picking question about blank ammo
I have about 1000 rounds of 7.62 blanks ...seeing is how they are blanks and not live ammo I wonder if they can be used in an 8mm mauser?? (7.62mm=.308 and 8mm=.311) not much of a difference ?? Anyone??? (P.S. I have both an 8mm and 7.62 mm Mauser)

i have seen EM Fj wearing the officer belt buckle, but this is the extreme exception and not the general and i would generaly advise against it. If your on a budget, postpone your reenactment by one month and buy a correct belt and buckle. They are not that expensive, remember , less haste, more pa...

do you mean an officers claw belt, that's all i can think of? thats the one! I have one that my Grandpa brought back.. And Have seen photos of NCO and EM FJ wearing those belts.And I don't have a ton of money to put into my impression so I was hoping to wear my green bread bag and the belt my grand...

Bread bag and belt question
Ok so I was told that a green bread bag will not work for a FJ impression is this true? And I was also told that the "claw" style belt is wrong too ( though i have seen period photos of such) Any help? ?

its an origanal pic taken in Italy in 1943 the guy in the palm smock is in fact an HG there are a couple of differnt pics with this guy in itSean wrote:I can see where Paul is coming from, the figure to the left does not fit with what the guys in the background are doing. Just looks odd.......

i think john was refering to a Palm tree bonesack :) lol! I know but i thought it would be fun to post that pic! The smock the FJ has on looks to be a differnt cut then the SS type 1 Palm smock..Im wondering if it is a talior made piece . I have seen a bunch of talior made clothing out of SS camo.....

I have a thing for the off beat uniforms..I think they are snazzy! Awhile back (about 15 years ago!) i saw a period photo of a german wearing a oak pattern jump smock..Has anyone seen this before?

Great pics! the last pic looks almost like the type 1 SS camo smocks but in Italian 1929 pattern they look to have the draw string on the neck.
