Re: Show us you!

Here is the progress of my early war walking out impression from an event this weekend. Please forgive the lack of M36 or earlier tunics. We will just pretend it is a M1933. ;) Please forgive my 'Attention' pose. It was hard to move around in the greatcoat. http://i845.photobucket.com/albums/ab20/th...

Re: Regulations on keeping trousers tucked into low boots?

Thanks Marco! I'll get to sewing! Do you have any recommendations on the type of material? I have some original breadbag material.. but don't know if that would work.

Re: Regulations on keeping trousers tucked into low boots?

Well I know that not every soldier was issued the keilhosen. But I guess I should just invest in a pair. Or get marching boots! :)

And Marco, that's not a bad idea. Do you know if anyone actually did this?

Regulations on keeping trousers tucked into low boots?

Hey everyone,

I have noticed that whenever I tuck my trousers into my low boots (They are the straight leg field grey trousers, M40's) they always come out. Is there some sort of regulation in the manuals to keep them in? How do you guys do it? Thanks!

Great photo Heini!

Here is a picture of the leadership of my group at an Ostfront reenactment this past weekend. I am in the middle.

Re: IMA Zeltbahn?

How many original zelts do you have? I'm not sure what this has to do with anything? Owning originals of anything does not make you an expert? Only an owner of originals. I'm sure the IMA zelts are an improvement over the Sturm examples. They would have to be pretty crappy not to be. If they are th...

Re: IMA Zeltbahn?

I bought three of the IMA Zelts. Their pattern is nice compared to Sturms. A little brighter than my original 39 dated zelt, but then again I havent seen an unissued one in my hand. Nice three hole buttons, they all button together. But remember, they are only $69 a piece. You should not be expectin...

Our new group's website

Hey all! After seeing everyone in Europe and some folks on the East coast of the U.S. step it up with authenticity, we formed a new generic German Heer unit from the old 984th group in Texas. We are relatively new as a group (but have been reenacting for a few years now) and we are striving to be th...
