The only reference I've found is that GD were issued camo smocks for the Kusrk offensive. it's the only specific reference I've found on the subject.

You mean 'Other Losses', that caused a stir when it came out. Eisenhower doesn't come out of it very well. His redefinition of Prisoner of War to Defeated Enemy Forces so the US Army could evade its responsibility under the Geneva Convention to house, feed and care for capture or surrendered German ...

We've had a number of problems with resized 7.62 blanks for our Mausers. So much so we don't use them.
Buy a 7.92 K98, that is the correct calibre. The landser used nothing else!

I believe it may be from some footage of the liberation of Dachau, those SS guards who didn't flee hid themselves amongst other German prisoners in an attempt to avoid
punishment. Some(unsuccessfully) even dressed in prison uniform!

Most Allied evaluations of the Tiger were done on capured examples and carried out without concerns for maintenance or access to spare parts. Helmut - when you say "scratch units" - are you referring to such as KG Tettau and suchlike? It is known that Kampfgruppe Tettau consisted of Kriegsmarine, Luftwaffe, Heer AND Waffen-SS soldiers - some convalescing in the area and others employed on guard duties etc. We know that 9 and 10...
