Re: VOTE for STEINER - Empire Film mag- Top 100 movie characters

Well MTV got ‘Rick-Rolled’ thru an online voting campaign to get Rick Astley voted in as ‘Best Ever Act’ at the recent MTV Europe awards!!!!! Rick Astley as best ever music act????? Come on! But it proves one thing….an organised campaign works! Besides, Astley is nothing in comparison to the ‘myth’ ...

Re: Empire Film mag- Top 100 characters - Lets get Steiner in it

Well done guys! Let's keep this going - more votes are needed! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Captain Kiesel: Steiner... is a myth. Men like him are our last hope... and in that sense, he is a truly dangerous man.

VOTE for STEINER - Empire Film mag- Top 100 movie characters

Empire Film magazine is running a poll at the moment to get the top 100 movie characters recognised. Well I think that the long overlooked anti-hero, Sgt Rolf Steiner played by James Coburn in Cross of Iron deserves our collective vote! Come on admit it boys and girls, as Axis re-enactors, who among...

Re: VICTORY Show OFF!

All the boys in the 116th are absolutely gutted that this show has had to be cancelled but we are all fully supportive of the decision of the organisers to have made what must have been a gut-wrenching decision to cancel this event at the 11th hour due to health & safety concerns for the partici...

Re: Italian camo uniforms used in 116. and 130. Panzer-Division?

Thanks for the picture Hindus but I agree with Stigroadie on this one, I think we would need more evidence to prove that it was issued on a large scale amongst the Division as a whole.

Re: Italian camo uniforms used in 116. and 130. Panzer-Division?

Would you care to share your evidence of the 116th in italian camo? I've not seen any pictures yet that show 116th in much camo at all never mind italian. There are the ones of them in splinter parkas taken from some film footage but thats about it. This could be the start of a new page for 116th r...

Re: Renishaw Hall Images

Paul hits it spot on! I spent ages shaving my wool trousers down the front to make them nearly threadbare.... I literally scrubbed the knees and butt. On the tunic I scraped the collar on the edge until the weave showed. I shaved all the wear points, shoulders, back, pocket flaps, elbows etc. I had...

MP40 Sight hood cover

Anyone know where I can get hold of a replacement MP40 sight hood cover for my Marushin MP40? Broke the existing sight cover on my MP40 at a training event over the weekend and would therefore like to source a new one if possible and thought that this might be a good place to start as other re-enact...
