Re: fallschirm-sani
A FJ-sani in Normandy would have very similar roles to an Army, or any other Sanitaeter. You would see them with red cross aprons, and sometimes with red cross painted helmets as well. but it all depends on the rank as well. The first three ranks of the german medical team are: Hilfskrankenträger Kr...

Re: Spearhead/Barrylyndon overseas caps
I understand m8. Just asked Thomas for some pictures of the Tropical caps he ordered.
That's all.
Whom do you suggest for LW tropical and DAK caps? European vendors preferably.

Re: Spearhead/Barrylyndon overseas caps
ok i got you mixed up. Let me try and rephrase
With Spearhead's tropical uniform getting some decent reviews viewtopic.php?f=30&t=7688&p=77884&hilit ... ffe#p77884
How come the caps are crappy, if they are the same material?

Re: Spearhead/Barrylyndon overseas caps
Franz / Thomas,
can you send me some closeups of these caps? What's wrong about them? The tropical uniforms from SM are praised to be quite decent. Aren't the caps made from the same material?

Re: Hello from Malta
Thanks to both of you. Yes it's a nice place and rich in history. Our group is trying to increase the interest in the events surrounding Malta during WW2, from the British and the Germans Point of View. Anybody visiting the island, drop me an pm. We have regular events (except the height of summer, ...

Re: Ramcke Brigade Patch
It was Lehr battalions that wore the patches. As far as I know, these were field made, and these were done once they were in Africa. It would be interesting to list all the patches of the Ramcke brigade. I know that the Pioneer company wore a cross with a sort of arrow pointing upwards

I form part of a FJ /HGD re-enactment group based in Malta, and very interested in tropical luftwaffe / DAK uniforms and equipment, in particular to the equipment that would have been used in Operati...
