Re: Is there a trojan on the SBG website?

Cheers Paul, looks like we'd better stay away until they've got it fixed then.

Is there a trojan on the SBG website?

I've just tried to look at the SBG website, and got all sorts of dodgy stuff on the screen (what I think was a fake Windows Defender window, and a warning telling me I had a trojan and that I should install some 'anti-virus' program). Am I the only one who has this problem? I was using www.sbg1.mist...

Re: Replacement K98 barrels!

How bad is it? Surely if it's only being used for blanks the condition shouldn't matter too much as long as it's still safe to fire.

Looking good. It's a pity about the typo, I'm sure you'll get that fixed before you make the next batch though.

Re: ZM low boot review

I am no expert, but my shoe repairer (who re-soled my low boots) told me not to put dubbin on the soles - he reckoned it softened the leather too much. I now use Carr's leather oil on the soles and dubbin on the top. Did not know that one sir It was my old Drill sgt who said leaderfett for the bott...

Re: k98 RIFLE

Just checked, and the serial number confirms this. Some of the rifles made for Portugal ended up being used by German forces due to shortages. Do you know where yours came from?

Re: k98 RIFLE

From your photos I'd say that it's a 1941 Portuguese contract rifle. Is there a Portuguese crest on the receiver ring?

Re: k98 RIFLE

I'm curios as to what is stamped on the receiver ring. Do you know the year of manufacture? Is it all matching?

Re: 33rd Waffen SS Charlemagne

I've got 'For Europe' and agree that is is a great book, but it is unfortunately rather light on photos. Does anyone know of any books or online sources with decent images of the French volunteers?

Cheers

Re: SS Parka in Italian Camo?

Just looked on SM Wholesale's website, theirs isn't much cheaper than the real thing 479 dollars!

It does look good though.

I saw one or two 7.62 K98's on www.guntrader.co.uk recently. Worth a look if you haven't tried there already.

SS Parka in Italian Camo?

Just spotted this auction for an SS camouflage parka, and I haven't seen anything like it before. What do you reckon? Genuine? Repro? Post war Italian? http://www.qxl.dk/kobe/samleobjekter/militrsouvenirs/2-verdenskrig/originalt/ss-cammoflage-jakke/v/an565046638/ It's at around 400 quid now, how muc...
