The pendant from Sobibor story
Sad but interesting story: A unique archaeological finding – a pendant with a name and a date of birth of a murdered in Sobibor girl from Amsterdam, it moved almost simultaneously many people in Poland and Holland. It appears that 70 years after these tragic events we would like to know not only the...

Re: zib-militaria's MG53 purchase ?
Man I feel sorry for you guys across the pond. :? You guys should just move over here to the U.S. and you can fire real guns and own em too! :) Sam Sorry for digging out that post, but maybe other US based member will answer: is it really possible to own firing MG-53 or MG-3 in US? How about other ...

Re: shok-a kola
Don`t know if it is the right board but topic looks suitable:
does any one of you have a good quality picture of wartime Shokakola tin that could be printed on glued paper and sticked to a modern tin?
I would be very grateful for help.

Re: RAISING THE U-778
Watching this closely if it degenerates into a bun fight its locked and a months ban for ALL participants I really don`t see a problem when two people discuss their opinions about the interpretation of history, without swearing or personal attacks. I always thought that this is what tolerance and d...

Re: Leibermuster
Hi, I'm pretty sure I've seen other pics on the Wehrmacht Awards Forum (unpublished from private collections), possibly in the Czech Republic - in a column of POW's I think. Not as many pics from 1945, than say 44 due to the chaos of the time - I wonder if it was worn in the last few weeks more tha...

Re: Hans Kloss. Stawka wieksza niz smierc (2012)
Personally I prefer the original TV Series from 60`s (this movie was sequel of that series): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stawka_wieksza_niz_zycie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHgtWywDn5w Although uniforms were not perfect, the series had great plot and action with best Polish actors of that time....

Re: RAISING THE U-778
I have nothing against raising and restoring this U-boat, but let us not call it a monument of anything. It can be an exhibit but not a monument for Gods sake. Off topic: The reality is the Nazis took a leaf straight from the book of British global colonial terrorism because the British were masters...

Re: Medievil Arms
As far as i know, these shells come from China, having said that when i got a M35 shell/liner in 2008 from a Chinese dealer, 'my expert of german origin' claimed that it might be an original. How come??? because the Russians gave the Chinese loads of these shells after the end of the war and these ...
