Re: WHO MAKES A GOOD REPRO WINDJACKE?
I think BarryLyndon28 at Spearhead Militaria on eBay makes a Windjacke closest to the original olive green color. Horrido! Papa Looking at Spearhead, he does two colours - "Fieldgrey" and "Khaki", which one is the one you refer to/which is best? "Fieldgrey": http://cgi...

Re: Repro RAD / NSKK insignia-books
I'm no expert on RAD / NSKK, but noticed these the other day: http://www.landser.com/nskk_cap_eage.aspx plus helmet decals: http://www.landser.com/helmet_decals_2.aspx Reference wise, I've got Osprey Men At Arms 254 Wehrmacht Auxiliary Forces, which includes details on NSKK/RAD uniforms, but I'm sur...

Re: Hiki DAK gear?
I bought a Hiki M38 side cap about a year ago. The advert stated to ask for a specific coloured soutache, and giving a list of them, which I did (Aufklarungs golden yellow) but a cap arrived with a PZ pink soutache. When I informed Hiki of their mistake and asked how the problem was going to be sol...

Re: Generic Litzen
Cheers Stig - yeah, those SOF ones look identical to the ones I got from Landser in the 'States - I'll trawl through some M44 tunics. Cheers for that mate.

Re: Generic Litzen
There are, I think, 3 main types of generic litzen. Three green stripes on grey, three grey/brown stripes on grey and the late war with 2 thin dark grey and a central medium grey stripe. This is the order they appeared in. Any more or errors in my list? Sorry to dig up an old thread - much delayed ...

Epaulettes: L-R: Propagandakompanie (with mouse-grey waffenfarbe), Panzergrenadier, Infantry (with white waffenfarbe.) The infantry epaulettes are from ANTZ Militaria, but with Richard's tresse applied. The others are Richard's and with his tresse and waffenfarbe. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y...

Re: New to the forum
I love Guernsey and Jersey, go over most years (usually Guernsey) - it was going to the Channel Islands every year when I was a nipper that got me interested in German WW2 stuff from a young age - my Mum dropped me on my head in the German Underground Hospital in Jersey when I was a few months old i...

I have seen this chap on ebay before and wondered if it was the same guy that used to do RAU's hats...
I was put off by some of his feedback, but presumably you've always found him okay to deal with/no problems?

Re: KM Kustenartillerie jacket
Thanks for that John - I was wondering about the shoulderboards and collar patches - how did you do them? Did you convert army officers Aufklarungs or signals collar patches and add a white stripe to the middle somehow? If so how did you go about it? What about the shoulderboards? Sorry for all the ...

Re: RAL colours
Hard to tell from a photo, but possibly aged RAL 6006 as you say, or more likely just dark Schiefergrau/slate grey...?
