Re: German wallets?

Don't know if you bought one but I did a couple of years ago. I was expecting something a lot smaller such as an everyday sort of wallet like I keep my cash and cards in now. Its was pretty large and bulky and certainly not pocket sized. Not what I expected at all but hey ho we live and learn....

Re: How did you "earn" your wound badge?

I understand Herr Grenmartens point totally. However I do think it important if you are part of a group for the group to have some "award" system otherwise I think it could get seriously out of hand if you are doing a "generic" impression. There will always be those people who wo...

Re: UK Legal Blank Firing Guns.

Alas I fear that it is as our Kameraden above have said. Its down to market forces rather than legal limitations. The firearms laws in the UK are some what bizarre at times. To own a Section 1 firearm such as a K98 you need a FAC whether you intend to fire blanks or live ammunition and is strictly c...

Well that's the excuse I'd use anyway....

Panzerfaust Markings

Kameraden,

I've had a look on here but can't find it. Do any of you guys know where I can find the sizes of markings used on a panzerfaust so I can make some stencils?

I've tried searching google etc but that didn't help either.

Danke

Soldbuch issue

Kameraden!, I found myself wondering about this the other day. Don't know if any of you guys out there can shed any light on this for me. The Military were issued soldbuchs and there were 4 distinct types (Heer, Kreigsmarine, Luftwaffe and SS) and which ever service you joined gave you the relevant ...

Re: Opinions please...the more the better..

When I was in the army I carried the equipment I was supposed to carry and also various other bits "that were useful or nice to have" for example a spare water bottle (you can NEVER have enough water), petrol cooker etc etc. The golden rule was if I wanted to take it I could but I would ha...

Kampfraum Arnheim

Kameraden, I got my grubby little mits on a copy of Kampfraum Arnheim yesterday. Its a 300+ page hardback book chock full of photos taken by the Kreigberichters during the Arnhem battles of 1944. Lots of pictures of FJ, Heer, SS etc along with Stugs of 280 Stug Bde and Panthers of 24 Panzer Div. I t...

Arm Shield

Kameraden, I have a photo in a book about the Liebstandarte (Spearhead nr. 5 page 69) where British soldiers in Normandy are examining what appears to be an M40 tunic belonging to an Unterschar of the LAH. The left sleeve is uppermost. Clearly visible is the LAH cuffband and an earlier pointed shoul...

Re: GSG STG 44

I don't know about Ireland but you may be able to get permission on the UK mainland. Its not fully automatic so its not a prohibited weapon under the Firearms Act. As long as you explain explain why you want it, where it would be used etc as per applying for any other weapon that requires a FAC you ...
