Hello from another Spanish guy.

Post by Max »

Hello:

Some of you already know me, I have posted on this forum, but I have not presented myself properly, so…

My name is Juan M. Heidenreich and I am in the active re-enactment since February 2003; actually I’m the Uscha. in the ”Das Reich Spain” group. I am also member of the SBG and I try to go to England with them to attend one or two events each year. My German name in both units is Maximilian Heidenreich, and everyone here in Spain and some of you usually call me “Max”.

I hope to meet some of you in person again soon. :)

Cheers.

Thank you both for your welcome.

To be with you and the rest of the boys in Finland has been for me and the rest of the unit members one of the most fulfilling re-enactment experiences up to this moment.

Cheers.

Indeed. I checked the links that you have posted in a different thread, and I was impressed with those photos. Specially the one of a soldier with a cat on his shoulder. heheh

Btw, if you have any time, please check this flickr account with some outstanding photos of the Portuguese Youth : http://www.flickr.com/photos/biblarte/s ... 56/detail/

They are 1930s-1950s I think, but the uniforms were changed in I think the 1960s. The Salazar government was overthrown in the 1970s. I am sure Claudia will be along shortly with more accurate information.

Hi Max.

Werner is right in saying that they were taken during the 30's-50's.

Horácio Novais Photographic Studio was founded in the thirties. Unfortunately, the pictures don't mention any date, but I strongly believe that they were taken in 1936-1940 as they are wearing early uniforms (1936).

Hello Andy:

Some delicate parts inside my pants are still frozen, but I’m eager to repeat the experience next winter.
