Hi there.
Our gun laws are not that bad, as long as your liecenced.
Really our gun laws are much better then the UK

I read that there is a strict ban of weapons in the north or south of Oz?

South Australia has some stupid rules but as for nsw we can own 50 cal rifles if we want. The only thing we can't have without the proper liecences is semi auto weapons. But our shooters party which have 2 members in parliament are trying to change that. And also unlike the UK pistol ownership and shooting is very popular.

I read a report from an Aussie gun collectors recently. It was a police report about .50 cals and .416 rifles. Seems the plods have been confiscating and deeming them as illegal weapons in Aussie because there is no licensed civilian range available for people to shoot them at.

Yeah like I said south oz gun laws are pretty draconian compared to alot of the other states.
SA have not banned the 50cal or the 416 Barret, but they have made it all most impossible to get one.
At least here in nsw our laws are ok.

50 cals are a banned import into NZ, but no problem as there are a couple of companies that build them here.
