Just a word by way of introduction, see also some photos from last years Peak Rail I've left in the Photos section of the forum
My name is Stuart Williams, generally known in WW2 forum circles as 'Smudger' which is slang for a photographer and my British Army nickname in the 4 Commando group.
I am a professional photographer and local historian amongst many other things (when I can find the time!). In re-enactment I portray Sgt. Bert Hardy of the British Army Film & Photographic Unit, taking photos in living history and where the opportunity arises in battles using original 1930's-40's pro quality camera equipment.
I am not a member of Grossdeutschland, though I must admit I quite fancy doing an alternative impression of a Heer Kriegsberichter photographer sometime when funds permit (I always did cheer for the Imperial side in Star Wars )
I've dropped by here since I'll be visiting you all at the forthcoming Burton on Trent event to take photos, and it would be nice to get to know you.
For more about my photographic project, you may care to check out my website at: http://ww2camera.0catch.com
Danke meine Freunde!
