Funker folding field table and folding chair

Post by f.knieriemen »

Gents,

I'm seeking the dimensions for the original folding field table and folding chairs used by radio troops... Anyone who could provide such?

Voila Gentleman!

Around a few corners I found an answer given by a well known fellow, Funksammler from Normandy!

http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...camp+furniture

He wrote: "the "Stationstisch" dimensions are 40 x 95 cm. The legs ar 87.5 cm long." ... that's an excellent starting point! On Facebook I gathered the info on the chairs... stay tuned for that...

The dimensions (as best as I could extrapolate from scaling photographs) that I used to create mine are as follows:

Table Assembly: 15 3/4" x 35 1/2" x 3/4" Plywood Top, 3/4" Aluminium Angle wrapped arround all 4 edges (miter joints)
Table Legs: 35" x 3/4" EMT (4 each), connected at the center, ends flattened and bent at a 66 degree angle (approx.)
Crossbar: 31 1/2" x 3/4" EMT (1 each), 15 1/2" x 1" x 1/8" Steel bar (2 each)
Hardware: Eyelets, curved head bolts and self locking nuts, wing nuts, sloted wood screws.

Stool Assembly: 15 3/4" x 11" Heavy Cotton Duck material double layered and stitched.
Stool Legs: 26 1/4" x 3/4" EMT (4 each), 13 1/2" x 3/4" EMT (2 each), 12 1/2" x 3/4" EMT (2 each), connected with curved head bolts and self locking nuts.

Colors:
Dark Gray Primer, Gloss Black, Clear Coat (optional)

Hope this helps, let me know how it turns out, good luck!
