just before christmas , me and micky on the way to germany visited the airborne museum in hartenstein oosterbeek,we visited the same museum about 4 years ago, since then they have closed and re-vamped the whole building and basement.
starting from the top of the building you work down charting the run up, prelude assault and after effects of the market garden campaign, withaudio visual display , real artifacts, doramas and cases full of stuff it was an amazing re visit, culmanating in an " experience " walk in the basement of the building...an amazing diorama
8 euro or thereabouts to get in...i lost 4 hours wandering about
well worth a visit
