Quite agree Jamie, joel stop spamming you naughty man you. 
Been reading book about assaults on Siegfried line in 44 & 45. Section on Heinsberg Salient quite interesting as knew area quite well from out at Wildenrath in th 1980s. Wish I had known then what I now know. Some of the villages mentioned I recogise from being on the ground. Never found anything interseting when digging in or heard any tall stories about the area.
There was a story over in Germany that until the 1970s the RAF would not post Scots to RAF Laarbruch because when the 51st Div went through Goch and Kleve it was literally rape and pillage. Any one like to substansiate or deny?
