i dunno, when the allies finally did run into her just 175 miles after leaving port it only took them 1hr 37min to send the largest battleship ever built to the bottom

especially as the Yamato had zero aircover to protect her, all available Japanese planes were off flying their own Kamikaze missions so she had only her own guns to fend off the Americans
