RAD in front line service

Interesting footage of RAD (Reichs Labour Service) in action in
Wochenschau number 631 (7th October 1942).

What is interesting is the fact that they are still wearing the NSDAP
armbands in the fighting.....see the stills I have taken from the film.

A friend of mine had read a book about a RAD guy who fought in 1945. They all had removed their armbands (obviously), which can also be seen on this photo:
