I hope the many unforced typo errors won't get in the way too much.
Just to bring to your attention two threads curently running on Wehrmacht Awards which deal very much with the sharpe end of war and that which lies between the lins of history books and that which is often overlooked and is in danger of being forgotten.

Whilst living history is the primary aspect of reenacting there are things which are difficult to impart to youngsters and the general public.
Uniforms , awards, displays are fine but undeneath there is a history and writing history is much more than pen and ink ( or fingers on a keyboard ) , history is always writtne at a cost.

We may look on re enacting as a hobby , but for those who had to do it for real it was certainly a very real and potentially fatal experience.
