Should Foreign Volunteers be allowed to formed?

Is there any need to represent them at all?

So who is for and who is against?

Lets have your views on the subject please.

Cheers, Bill

Hi Jon,

Thanks for adding the poll.

I thought it a good idea to get peoples views on the subject,
it will give me a guide before I get started posting.

By the way, thanks for having me on the Mod Team

Cheers, Bill

There should be a third option on the poll for people who wish to abstain or have no particular view/interest on the subject. That way you would be able to judge the neutral response also....

Freedom of speech etc.

We should within the realms of common sense be able to re-enact what we whish.

Too true Andrew,

The problem with doing a foreign volunteer unit is the fact that you may end up doing it alone.... it can be bloody difficult getting a group together with the same interests.

ofcourse it should be done, no good reason not to in my opinion and even if there isn't alot of interest from other people doing it, thats fine, nothing wrong with doing an impression on your own

I feel it has a place among our ranks in re enacting, are we not supposed to be educating those who do not know.

Most persons on the strasse would have a limited view in so far as the naughty Nazis were all German and the allies including the occupied countries were all on the allied side, nice to show them that was not the case, and foreign nationals did serve the Reich.

Have voted yes. Its something that should be told and re-enacted (tastefully however).

I too voted yes suprise suprise, one reason i voted yes is that when you talk to mops etc its suprising how many dont realise that there were more that just Germans on the Germans side and that there were F.V from all of western and eastern Europe.

Tanaka, Non-European impressions

What sort of response do you get doing a Japanese impression, due to the fact that you are European? (sorry I mean Cornishman  )

I considered putting together a DAK tropical uniform and doing Azad Hind (Free India Legion)

I've had a very good response so far Bill, people are far more interested in what your portraying rather than whether im actually Japanese or not and the veterens in Japan don't mind either, there just glad there are people taking an interest in what they went through during the war so to be honest if you wanted to do Free India Legion im sure people would be very interested to see it and not care about where you were from.
