It was a long time ago, but didn't / doesn't Richard Underwood's group portray the 7th?

I think Mr Underwood did have a group but that was some time ago. I have a panzer wrap done up as Prinz Eugen.

SS-Gebirgsjager reenactments are pretty hard to do on a big scale (platoon size)
Panzergrenadier units are so much easier to form.
SS-GJs require some rare items to find like the Gebirgs rucksack, Styrian gaiters, Bergschuhe.....just to name a few. Nobody really makes repros of them neither.
Offcourse there alot of wartime pics of southern SS-GJ wearing regular low boots with no gaiters whatsoever.

If you find a small squad of really dedicated people with good equipment you'll be lucky.
Overall, 7th SS and 13th SS units are my top 2 that Id want to re-enact. Very fascinating and unique.

my 2 cents

Rich and I along with Jim Brown were part of the Prinz Eugen when we started re-enacting twenty years ago. A tidy group it was too on a good day we could field 16, run by Dave Mathewes the insignia King, sadly morphed into the Hermann Goering, became somwhat flakey and then slowly fizzled out.
I still have my tunic and mountain boots, I think I have some pictures somwhere.

I remember those days in a field back of a pub in Marsh Baldon.
And that boys is how you take a penalty.

 How funny you remember that one Jon, Rich and I were reminiscing about Marsh Baldon this weekend. The happy day's before people got so drearily serious about it all

Nice impression of an interesting unit - do you have evidence for the Edelweiss being worn on the Panzer blacks ?
