Doesnt look half bad. However there does seem to be alot of 'green' and not alot of 'brown'

Compared with original seems reasonable.

Where is the constructive criticism?

Looking at SM's production, and this one Chen has done, it looks ok. Certainly better than the post war day glo Italian camo you see people wearing.

mm1977, the 4th reich, xCumbatcherx. Care to elaborate?

Hi Sean

I just feel that SMWholesales product is accurate and for the sake of £40-£50 more I would prefer to buy theirs.

SM product is more accurate with colours and pattern.

Agreed. SM's does look more accurate. As I said previously, the Chen Italian camoflage seems to have to much green. The edges of the camo compared with original material doesnt sit right with me either.

(right)comparison of original wartime italian camouflage panzer coverall (left) with modief post-war italian coverall (right). by a dealer,
who added blue-grey glass german buttons and replaced the cloth epaulettes with german-style epaulette attchachment loops and pebble finish buttons. the large cargo pockets on the legs. and the brighter sage green shade tending almost towards a drab turquoise, are also characteristic of post-war italian camouflage italian suits.

I might be wrong but both of those look like post-war or copies to me.

Cheers

Right mm1977,

both are postwar. Left one is the typical and original italian army coveral used in the 70ties and 80ties by the italian army. You can see that also the camo pattern is totally different to the war time pattern. Pockets are on the side and not at the front of the trouser, where they have to be. You can buy them from time to time at ebay for 20 - 30 Euros.
Right is...well, I really don´t know what kind of thing the right one is, pattern looks good ( no pockets on the trouser), but the colours are nothing to taken seriously  .

Best regards,

Caen44.
