The Germans adopted the Akjas from the Finns.

Jay they are still in use today now fiberglass ,we have a wooden one in our troop here is a war time photo of them in use by the German ski troops

Jay the Germans used loots of Finnish and swedish kit

The Suomi Konepistooli M 31 was used by SS Nord 500 in total and we must not forget the Puukko Knife .It is stated in the front of the German Ski training book the the Finns helped with this
