Smock Choice

Steve is taking back my smock and will be reprinting to correct the error. I only have seen one picture of the Zeug smock outside of the website and it seemed to have a green "glow" to it. On the website it looks fantastic , I am hoping that the picture of it outside was just a bad photo and I emailed Zeug and asked him to send an outside photo.

Does anyone have any other pictures of the smock?

the zeug smock is printed on green backing and when bought new it does have a green tinge to it .

I have had mine now for 6months and worn it every possibility i can and it has near enough lost that green glow with dirt and use.

i havent washed mine, dont intend to. Just get it used

i had a scrap zeltbahn i opened up the seams and it glooooooooooooooooowwwwwed

it goes with time so for me and my humble opinion its 100% gerade richtig frontschweinen!

This was the photo that someone else posted (please no offense to the person that had posted it, I like to research my reenacting items the best I can before I buy them and the photo makes the smock look like it has a glow to it IMO ) that the smock looked like it had a green glow to it and I was fraying away from getting one of the smocks

Tom from Zeugrmeisterei sent me this photo when I told him I was concerned about a green glow to the smock that I had seen in another photo and after seeing this I am probably going to order a smock and bandoleer

jager, it also depends on the lighting dont forget. White light will bring it out in a lighter colour while direct sun light will have a darker tinge to it.

I am awaiting some pics of me from longmoor to be sent as i have a zeug smock on, and it nearly has lost its green tinge to it.

Also the new smock that SM Wholesale is selling that I posted are correct.

Something I never new was that there was a tropical version Where the green was the dominant Camo with the blotches of brown (Actually reversed from a regular smock)
This is from "Camoflauged Uniforms of the Wehrmacht"

Right! I threw caution to the wind, together with Pauli, and ordered some smocks from SM Wholesale on ebay! They are excellent, and, they arrived promptly and communication was good! Now everyone knows I was a bit pissed off at the crap treatment I had before from SM, but I think they have sorted their shit out. However I would buy through ebay!
