FJ walking out dress
Would that be Fliegerbluse and Feldblau trousers? What footwear - jackboots or shoes?

Re: FJ walking out dress
Early war, Tuchrock plus field blue hosen and jack boots, late war replace Tuchrock with Fliegerbluse. But of course there will be exceptions!!

Re: FJ walking out dress
OK, OK what do we mean by 'walking out dress'?, wedding's etc feldblau trousers and tuchrock, but I have seen wedding pictures wearing jump trousers!!! Out on leave at home visiting the family, again jump trousers and fliegerbluse. The thing you need to remenber is the the Fallschirmjager were a very specialised unit, so any oportunity to show that you were a member would be used, including wearing the uniform that made you stand out from other men in uniform. In Feldblau trousers and tuchrock you would look like any Luft member from a distance and not a member of the proud Fallschirmjager.

Brilliant photos - thanks. The reason I'm asking is that we've been invited to a 40s do, and I want to get it right. However, as you say, there seem to be no "rules".
