Darkening Fj Boots?

Post by GRFJ »

Hello everyone.

I am guessing this must have been covered before but a fast search did not bring any results.

I just received my Czeck Fj boots yesterday (great boots!!) and was wondering what the best way to darken them up is? Any advice?
Would shoe cream do the trick or is there another more appropriate and "Zeit- treu" method?
Was thinking to perhaps make them this brown with a hint of red, as I have an original pair in this color, and not the usual black but have not made my mind up yet.

Thanks in advance!
Yannis

Assuming the boots are the same as the ones sold by Zeugmeisterei which are made from undyed leather then you need to get some leather dye - this is easily applied and once dried just a quick polish with normal boot polish to finish them off
