I noticed that in Kurtz book on German paratroops (page 112/113) the tropical overseas cap Eagle insigne is mostly underneath triangular shaped while on top the stitching follows the wings of the eagle itself.
Are such replica's for sale? Or can the same insigne been used as the The Regalia Specialist's insigne W3814 (ofcourse without the cockade and cut into the right shape) http://www.nicholasmorigi.com/product_i ... 3814-1.jpg or does this eagle hase a nother shape...

Oh darn! You are indeed correct. All the eagles are neatly stitched along the upper wing ridges after the excess cloth has been folded over. I checked my repop cap and see it done in a much less elaborate manner. I'll have to take it off and redo it now.
Thanks,
Paul.
P.s. although it doesn't mention this too clearly, the saltiest and army style based cap actually has a jacket eagle affixed to it
