Revell 1:72 U Boat type VIIC 41

Post by Steve Das Reich »

Well after many years of absence from Kit modelling I have decided to make a comeback with the Revell 1/72 scale rendition of the U Boat VIIC 41 "Atlantic", I have also sourced all the aftermarket parts to make this very good model into a museum quality piece.

Has anyone else built this kit ?

I built the previous version of the type viic by revell the one with out the schnorkle. Built it straight from the box without any extra detail parts. It was a very nice kit. I still have one of the kits un built yet

It is a beautiful model straight from the box Harold, but after seeing some of the upgrade parts I just had to have them.

So I have got three Photo etch sets, an internal pressure hull and the excellent real wood deck.

My version will be a late war VIIC/41.... not decided yet what Boot to base it on.

Can you obtain any scans of these Boots, for me ?

I want to try and make a near perfect model of a real Boot.

I'm sorry I don't have any pics of Ed's boats. U650 was lost in the North Atlantic with all hands onboard, and his boat he was posted to after getting out of the hospital U901 was sunk during Operation Deadlight
