 OK I'll jump in, does francois verlinden paint these models using unicorns eyelashes with paint mixed with the tears of angels???
If not, I think he should f**k off and stop thinking he's some kind of special artist type like hockney, emin and all those other bawbags who think they're talented.
A bit of paint on a plastic model doesn't deserve that amount of anyones money!

To be honest, as a kid I thought his dioramas were excellent, but having seen many more by other modellers over the years, his are frankly average. The figures are awkward and unnatural looking and the buildings are boring. There are far better creations out there.

I find that nearly all of verlinden figures faces are droopy.

Like others i used to be a fan of his work but as my own modelling skills improve and seeing other peoples work then i now feel that francois Verlindens work is about average.
I would'nt say i was better but i can hold my own lol.
It certainly is not worth the money that he's is asking for.
Below are some examples of what other modellers are making.

You would be paying for the Verlinden name as his work is well known across the globe but it still does'nt justify these prices lol.

It's art dahhhhling. There are better painters than Picaso.
It's the name certainly that you are paying for but he was ground breaking when he came on the scene. Not only with his style and techniques but also his range of figures and accessories.

Love those pics you've posted Martin. The burnt out tank must be especially challenging.
