Differencies in Heer/Waffen SS GJ uniform elements in the table below, comparison taken from Polish book by Nowakowski & Skotnicki. '+' meaning in use, '-' - not used, empty box - rarely used.

As always with German uniforms: exemption confirms the rule..

Schreiber was a high ranking officer, he could get things/items/uniforms enlisted me could not.

BTW, if you can recommend any method of cleaning those old dirt stains - I would be greatful. Just how to 'try' to remove them without putting whole rucksack into any water...

I'm trying to find out how to pack the rucksack, that means, what ro store in the upper compartment, what in the rear part one, what in the main bag and what in the side and front pockets.
Could you help me with that?

Hi 100 (Albert)
I saw that you posted the same on another Forum I have been going through my books since then,Not one has a packing order they do have some lists from this I would say it was some what up to the individual and what type operation he was on .here is a list from a Ski patrol
Clothing and Eguipment
Clothing Winter combats suits are issued if they are available ;other wise the following are issued:mountain trousers or longtrousers;ski bootsor laced boots (large enough for three pairs of socks)short puttiees or ski gaiters ;camouflage suit or camouflage cloak;three sets of woolen underwear;additional protective clothing(pullovers, sweaters,Belly bands, and jock straps);one pair of gloves and one pair of woolen mittens;no overcoats, but three woolen blankets insted (2 with the combat train);no steel helmet but cap with white cover instead face mask and snow goggles (if Available)
Note that the Combat train carried some of the Equipment and the troops would of had light warm gear and there climbing kit with them
