Fortress Wales 2015
I have today been to a meeting with Caldicot Castle, we have been given the GREEN light for the planning of the show for 2015

The main show days will 3rd and 4th May 2015.
Set up day will be 2nd of May 2015 BUT you may arrive on site on Friday 1st May 2015 after 2pm.

Please note application forms for re-enactors/living history/walkers, Traders and Military Vehicles will be available for downloading or posting out after the 3rd November 2014.

yet again another excellent show to kick the season off , really nice people wendy and paul run this show , decent helpful and interesting people to talk to and deal with, excellent venue. best wishes to you in the running of the event. regards mac

Right as you are all aware FW15 is on.
Now to give you some more important information.

Application forms for Re-enactors/Living History Groups/Walkers, Traders and Military Vehicles will be available from the 3rd November 2015 THEY must be back in to us by 14th March 2015.

ANYONE who apllies after the 14th March will be asked to donate a cheque to our charity the RBL.
Our BOOKS will close on the 4th April No booking after this date will be accepted.

Site Meeting at Caldicot Castle will be held on the 14th March 2015 at 11am. Meet up in car park then make your way into castle please.

On Saturday 3rd May we will have the following on the Castle Bridge

6pm- WW2 Briefing

7pm Kit Sale

7.30 Site Meeting for all

The Football Club will be open on Friday/Saturday/ Sunday night.
The Caldicot Castle Banqueting Hall will be open Saturday/Sunday night with entertaiment.
BOTH WILL CLOSE BEFORE 1am times to be confirmed.

On a final NOTE For Fortress Wales 2015 after 6pm from Friday 1st May 2015 on site NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND are you be CARRIED around eg, apple Knives, swords, bows, boot knives, side arms etc. If i see anyone out on site walking around with any kind of weapon I will remove them OFF site. GROUP leaders please make sure all your members are aware of this ruling.
No weapons on person from 6pm till 6am.

Applications will not be accepted after the 4th April.

WW2 groups if you have booked into battle with Paul Sidney of the South Wales Borderers WW2 Re-enactment Group then I have some good news We are bringing a Section 5 onto site for another period battle. Group leaders if someone wish`s to battle and you are happy for them to hire then please pass the following information on

Well its only the end of June 2015 and on Friday I had a meeting with Caldicot Castle and they wish for me to THANK you all for attending this year. WE HAVE THE GREEN LIGHT for planning ahead for 2016. Well done to everyone who attended this year and put on a wonderful show.
