K98 or not?

Post by rsvpiper »

I found this in one of my local gun shops it's labeled up as a mauser K98 it's a 7.62 rather than 7.92 at first having spoken with them on the phone i assumed it would be a Norwegen or poss a portuguese rebarrel but having seen it now i just don't know, so what do you think it is

It's a model of the K-98 just not the WWII version, it's a prewar version. Very seldomly seen with the Wehrmacht of WWII though but seen with other volunteer units and sometimes partisans.

World wide Arms used to have some similar,
but they were classed as 1930's Chinese
