Hello everybody!

After a long time of work my book "Deutsche Fertigungskennzeichen bis 1945" about the secret German manufacturer codes up to 1945 is finished.
Maybe someone is interested in it.

Although this topic has been dealt with before, the extent and utility of previous treatments has not been complete in the existing literature. My new book, resulting from long term research, will serve all collectors and military historians as a primary reference for identifying the manufacturers on weapons, ammunition and every kind of military equipment (clothes, pouches, helmets, medals and so on).

The book has more than 500 pages, is sorted in two ways (after codes and after company-names), contains all military code systems (early abbreviations, number-codes, letter-codes, LDO-numbers for medals & insignias and the RZM-numbers for NSDAP- & SS-equipment). I have also added about three pages with identified codes following "ozz" (like "swj" for Steyr and so on). There are many mistakes in names and addresses in the old lists. I have check EVERY name and address, so I hope to have limited the mistakes to the minimum.

The text-part is written in German and English language.
It's very important to know the background and the development of the code systems. I have found many original documents in archives to reproduce the way of the development step by step.

There is no commercial distribution planned to dealers outside Germany, so if someone might be interested, I can only send books from me. It's not a business, just a hobby.

The price is 32,- EUR in Germany incl. shipping.
In Europe it's 37,- EUR incl. shipping (registered mail).
To the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan it's 63 USD by airmail incl. shipping.

With best wishes from Germany
Michael Heidler

Hello Dave,
yes I'm the author and it's my name that is written on the cover

I have worked about seven years on that book and now I'm trying to make it known to other collectors.
I'm not earning money with it, but since my publisher is not doing any advertisement I have to try it on my own.

With best wishes
Michael

Hello everybody,
I just want to inform you that my book "Deutsche Fertigungskennzeichen bis 1945" about the secret German manufacturer codes is sold out now.

I'm trying to get a few left-over copies from a dealer, so please feel free to ask if you still need one.
But that's all and I don't know if there will ever be a reprint in the future.

I have attached a list with corrections and supplements for all owners of my book. The list contains information that I got in the time after the book was finished. It will keep your book up to date

Viele Grüße
With best wishes

Michael Heidler

BTW: The rifle grenade book is still available viewtopic.php?f=60&t=15869&p=146518

Dear collectors,

I just want to let you know that my rifle grenade book is nearly sold out now.

Yesterday I got the last few ones from the publisher. So if someone is interested, it's probably the last chance.
I do not know if the publisher will make a new print since the book sold very slow.

Anyway it is a very special theme and so I'm really happy that it was possible to publish this book.

Not sure what I will do next ... I should have more time for my hobby

With best wishes
Michael

Hello,
I have got some inquiries in the past yearsabout my sold-out book with the German Secret Armament Codes used in World War 2.

Now I just want to let you know that my publisher has now printed the 4th revised edition.
It is available again and maybe this information is of interest for you

These codes were used to cover the manufacturers names on weapons, ammunition and every other kind of military equipment like parts of airplanes, vehicles, ships or radio equipment from 1920 until 1945.

The book contains more than 500 pages with about 11.000 codes, is sorted in two ways (after codes and after company-names), contains ALL code systems (abbreviations, number-codes, letter-codes, LDO-numbers for medals & insignias and the RZM-numbers for NSDAP- & SS-equipment). The official list with letter codes ends with "ozz", but I was able to add three pages of later codes. The book covers the background and the development of the code systems. I have found many original documents in archives to reproduce the way of the development step by step.

It is written bilingual in German and English language!

The prices incl. shipping (registered mail) are:

Europe: € 38,00
World: $US 46.00

The book can be ordered directly from me: GGBuch@web.de

Also I can sign the book

With best wishes from Germany
Michael
