Re: A nice collection
When I bought this today,I thought it was an unmarked 'Junker',but after a bit of checking in the book and confirmed on German combat awards forum its a early K&Q (Klein & Quenzer.)

Re: A nice collection
The case has a higher quality insert with cloth covered pin slot and the reverse is marked 2597 and company logo is D&B.

An early Kerbach & Oesterhelt KVKI,this is plated tombak, the Pz mark 62 is stamped on the reverse of the pin, this one has been repaired at some time with a very chunky clip, they made sure it would never break again.John

Re: A nice collection
The best thing about this is that came with a matching case, with detailed case lid made by D&B.

Re: A nice collection
This packet came with the EKII,after a search on WAF these are part of a hoard found a few years ago,no EK's can be attributed to Carl Forster & Graf at present and some collectors believe they are original and some do not,a lot of dealers are pairing them with original medals (as I found out )John

Re: A nice collection
A Third Reich produced 1914 EKI screw back by Petz & Lorenz. Its a one piece strike, magnetic.P&L lost their licence to make and sell orders instituted after 30.January 1933 in 1941,the quality of their 1939 Iron cross is really crude one piece strikes in brass,so surviving examples of these are quite scarce.John
