Not added any thing to the collection lately, but I did get a local jeweller, who makes pieces to order to make a replacement suspension ring for my Imperial Krieger Verdienst medal, the original was missing when I bought it in the 1980's.

"The medal for Bravery and merit for Eastern people" was awarded to Latvians, estonians,Cossacks etc;and could also be awarded to Muslim volunteers. The award came as Bronze, silver &gold, without swords for merit and with swords for bravery,in second class, the ribbons were plain green for bronze, green with two white stripes for silver and green with two red stripes for gold. The first class version was a pin back award in silver and gold, with or without swords(if you look back in this thread there is a photo of a cased gold with swords, colour has worn off though). The medals were worn on the tunic and more than one class was allowed to be worn

Latest addition,I already had the packet for maker Ernst L Muller and have just acquired the Iron cross to go with it,an added bonus was an original photo of the owner who sent it home to his parents for safe keeping, dated 4.8.1942 that came with it.
