Divisional/Tactical Markings on Truppenfahrrad!

Post by GR916/15/14 »

Hallo,

I am looking into Divisional/Tactical Markings on the Truppenfahrrad...
I would like to (and my friend agrees) to put the same markings on both our Truppenfahrrad's! We've got photos showing divisional/tactical markings on Truppenfahrrad's but the photos are too blurred to see what they are!
Some people who own a Truppenfahrrad have put the Motorcycle marking on the rear mudguard but with out the small T shape going out to the top right! They have also painted in two segments of the circle!

All the best,
Nathan

The only thing I could find in my books was awhite bar (Strip) on the front and rear mud guard edge This was to aid drivers of other Vehicales to see the Bike rider at Night or in bat weather

Dave Hucklebridge, he is a uk collector of many years standing! Very very nice guy and always to be found at the Horndean show near Portsmouth, and of course Beltring.

Nathan,

The sign is the tactical marking for bicyle troops, it is in the H. Dv. 272 "Muster für taktische Zeigen des Heeres" (1943 edition)
(Nothing to do with motorcycle troops)

A few of the different combinations that are possible from out that handbook,

Here you will find some close up foto's from original truppenfahrräder
http://panzergrenadier.net/forum/viewto ... =9&t=10085

I this case is
68 the number given to the bicycle in the unit,
Tactical sign is that of a Grenadierkompanie auf Fahrrädern
1. = the first Kompanie
