Bottom right of pic, that slender rear carrier and slim rear mudguard, it might be a Wanderer like Schneider's!

I met a veteran years ago who told me they used to line the bikes up like that and drive armoured vehicles over them to ensure they were put beyond use. Hindisght is a wonderful thing...

one of the veterans at the abbey sat and told me when the war finnished he had to stay behind and dismantle all the military and civilian vehicles for export

the germans where only allowed to keep the axles

the rest went to america and canada
he estimated the broke over 30,000 cars and lorrys

my BMW R12 was rescued from a similar place in Klagenfuhrt in 1945, poloined from the yanks (i think) with a lot of bottles of cognac by a ex Wehrmacht motorcycle instructor called Johan Perker (he got about 50 from them) it was then used post war for a while until he got to old they were then bought by a man i know from england, pulled apart and brought over in 1973, it stayed like that until i bought it a few years ago

she has the original pistons, clutch, points and magneto from the WAR!

i re done the crank, put new rings in changed the valves and had a few problems with the gearbox, she is now legal and i ride her more than the wife! (my wife is also legal)

so some of them are still pretty original and still loved and still as reliable (just like my wife lol)
