The latest model of tires did have large holes in them to save metal and the edges where of metal instead to save rubber.
In the Wehrmacht section of our group (frontleven 40-45) Roel has one replica for sale as he found an original now.

one of the guys in my group has 3 of them and is working on a 4th....709th.org......if you want i can ask where he got the tires........there were 2 recently for sale on ebay

one of my trailers has the wheels you mention SC. they are knackered though and only have the internal parts left

i talked to my buddy and he said he got his IG in the US through http://www.cokertire.com/ ..........i looked at the tire today and he got englebrecht tires ............i will post a few pics tomorrow and correct the tires name if i spelled it wrong
