They have all the skills to make that but then capture video that makes you feel like you have had 15 pints. My eyes hurt.

Re: "Homebuilt Tiger"
Some excellent detailing on it but what's with all the lightning!? It's not Frankenstein's Monster is it....? Oh all right it is a sort of resurrection...
Very interested to see if they can recreate the drive sprocket, wheels and tracks to as high a standard as the hull and turret, as getting that right is crucial to the authentic 'Tiger' look. We are all familiar with the shortcomings of replicas based on T55s and even T34s - hopefully this will raise the bar!
(I'd change the camo scheme though...)

Re: "Homebuilt Tiger"
I read all the comments, they say that the giy who built this is getting grief from his wife over wasting the money on it!!!
It looks spot on to me, anyone see any problems with it?
I would have thought the steel road wheels (ie non rubber tyres) would have been the easiest to make? If he has got that far then getting them pressed would'nt be too difficult?
The cupola and hatches all looked to have been made from pressings?
The tracks might be difficult tho! big castings!!!

Re: "Homebuilt Tiger"
why do you think he painted it (besides perhaps a base coat) before finishing it?......to possibly get more investors?

Re: "Homebuilt Tiger"
The wheels would need to be considerably heavier pressings than the cupola hatch, in order to take the weight of the vehicle and not deform over rough ground or during turns. Clearly the vehicle is relatively light as I am assuming sheet steel is used throughout but the wheels would still need to be quite beefy to take the abuse, and hence probably quite costly items to get manufactured...
Dieter may well be right!
As for the wife... forget her, this is far more important!!!!

Re: "Homebuilt Tiger"
Very interesting stuff! Looks very accurate indeed! I had a look in the books and the marking scheme is closest to s.Pz.Abt 510, but those vehicles did not have the balkenkreuz on the turret (in fact I think only Abt.503 did that) colours sheme...hmm, dunno, would probably be less bold.
