Andy is that the going price for one now ?
Re: Ford V8 truck suitable for re-enactng?
Bit pricey at £10,500, here's another set of WW2 wheels for £4,300 on the same site
Re: Ford V8 truck suitable for re-enactng?
£10.5K for a restored and running German built truck is good money actually - The GMC you cite is average - look how many GMCs survive and compare to how many Fords are still living - then think about revising your opinion.

Herr Peiper I get your point but we need not have to lower our standard by buying a Ami truck .I was looking at something like this or a French made Truck this then could be used from 1940 till 1945
Re: Ford V8 truck suitable for re-enactng?
I was about to post similar...... the curse of the re-enactment world - "cheap"
Buy once, buy right.
An Ami truck in German hands leads to more "what if " theories and a further dilution of the facts.
As said - a French truck - or even a good look alike replica built on a modern chassis (like this bread van type things you see only with more accuracy).....

thats actualy a sexy truck
but it depends on what the use is
as paul said a european vehicle is more likely to have been knicked by the germans

That Chevy is a beaut - and cold feasibly have been exported to Europe prewar......... a perfect example of a pressed vehicle
Re: Ford V8 truck suitable for re-enactng?
You do make me laugh sometimes Peiper. I did assume that as this is the AXIS re-enactment forum that I did not need to put for 'German' re-encating in the title.
If you are looking for a motorbike presumably you are looking at Harley 45WL or matchless G3L for your German re-enacting? Or how about a BSA Bantam, thats nearly a wartime DKW?
So why comment on a thread about trucks?Fair enough comment gents, personally i haven't got room to store a truck at present so am

If you see at the classifieds in the Flemish newspapers of 1930'ies they are full of fords, chevrolets, christlers, buick, pontiacs etc...
