Get Reinhard Frank's book "Cars of the Wehrmacht." It's a great reference. You should be able to get it through Amazon.

Have a good look around the rest of the site and I am sure you will find more.

The SBG has one of these owned by the group, unfortunately not a runner, though one day hopefully 'she' will be running around at a show.

SBG has managed to purchase a very good clean engine and work is being undertaken to fit this. It will almost certainly be putting in a fully mobile appearance next year. :o

I do hope so,will make a change from the broken down Steyrs and Zundapps which seems to dominate the display   I like the Opel, but when 'she' was first accuired it was in its civvie colours of red and black and some people 'dubbed' it "the Noddy car".

You know that it was in the colours of the Berlin Taxi service don't you? And of course German Fire Department vehicles are red with black wings........ At least it didn't get dubbed Fireman Sam's Taxi!!!!

Lovely car that, look forward to seeing it running. I missed out on a very original Opel Kadett sold locally a couple of years ago, would love a pre war German car.

Unfortunately my photos are too large to post on this thread, but have added an album of the Opel on my photobucket account.

The first photo is as it was purchased and then ongoing work with it being stripped and so far the shell has had a coat of paint with other panels to follow.

As progress goes on I will add more photos to the album.
