You're most welcome, hope it all goes well..... maybe put some pics up of the ongoing progress, it's always good to see a rebuild in it's various stages and I'm sure will be of particular interest and inspiration to others doing similar projects !

Just before you start to change the existing wiring loom, when you sent an email to Poland (old timers garage) did you show the bike as an attached picture, the reason for asking is that when i had a similar combo and wanted parts i took the info from the Russian log book. It turned out that the log book was totally wrong, not for the said combo i had and was some 20 years older. Send them a picture just to make sure which Cossack bike you have. Also in the uk there is the Cossack bikers club, sorry no info got lost when i changed computers.

Hi Leibstandarte

Might be worth trying this site in Hong Kong and run by Ben who I think is a Brit expat living out there.

Ben is very helpful and responds well to emails.

Although its mainly a Chang Jiang site they may be able to help with Urals...

Web: http://www.sidecarpro.com/
Email: ben@sidecarpro.com.

Good luck....
