R75 sidecar

Post by 352nd »

My friend has had his R75 sidecar stolen from a garage in Nottingham. It's a mucky Luftwaffe blue colour and the back hinge is broken behind the seat. It was stolen Boxing Day and no sightings have been seen since. Also stolen were a spare wheel and parts of the bikes framework. If anyone offers any of you a sidecar, which matches this discription, please let me know. I have a feeling it's been stolen and used as a bobslay due to the snowy weather we've been having. But if you do see or get offered anything please PM me or post it on this board.

Many Thanks

That's both shocking and incredibly funny at the same time.

Thieves are despicable. They won't be able to get rid of it unless someone has already ordered it. Vandals on the other hand would just do a thing like that although I can imagine the looks on people's faces in the park when a WWII sidecar comes sliding past full of chavs!

Post this on as many UK forums as you can - Someone is sure to see it (Maybe it's been hitched up to a load of reindeer?)

the real annoying factor is that he would have brought the bike to shows once he restored it. At least it was insured so he should get a replacement. But it really pisses me off that some chav is roaming around in a sidecar that's worth good money, and will probably tip it in the River Trent, where it will be lost forever.

Was it the sidecar body and the sidecar frame or just the body?

just an update and another appel for help

The sidecar was the one on eBay that was posted on this forum. unfortunatly the seller has moved the sidecar on before the police could get hold of it. It is now missing once again, so please could you keep a look out for it on eBay or anyother sites on the web. If it turns up at a show or car boot sale, also will you let me know by either posting it on the forum or PMing me.

Cheers for all your help.
