now .does anyone know of a technique of removing a verry thin layer of paint to get through to the markings .

pleas, no guessing as i do not want to remove the markings until i have read them .

mhh. if you use a heat gun really carefully?

i did that at home a lot while renovating and found that you could easily strip thin layers of paint.

if you try that on the door here theres no markings see if you can get only the first layer off. needs heat and distance adjustment but it could work because the first layer (outside) gets hotter and the one in is colder because the metal conducts the heat and all...blah...you know all that.

just thinking.

thanks be
just tried a technique
and found out the paint was indeed on top of the cammo
but had faded out to become just a silouette.
so it is not possible to acertain the origional markings.

shame.
