Hi all,
My TruppenFahrrad is now restored (has been for a few months ), it was done mostly by my dad and the lamp was done by a relative who restores motorbikes. Just need to get the Dynamo and Lamp together now (the lamp does work with other means of power-we tested it- VERY bright). The tyres are not original but are made in Holland and the saddle is a brooks one . Just looking for a new saddle, an original sprung German one .
Thanks ,
Nathan

Re: TruppenFahrrad!
And here is mine done:
A little more to do. I have a better dynamo to fit and an original box to fit when I can get some brackets made.

Re: TruppenFahrrad!
Can someone post the exact measurements of an ammobox on the fahrrad, the one that mounts in the cross bar of the frame. Thank you very much

Re: TruppenFahrrad!
I am restoring an old civilian bike and need to get some extras to finish her off.
I'm after:
the leather tool kit pouch.
the metal "can" that hangs between the saddle and the handle bars.
a good sized storage rack for the rear.
If some of you out there with experience in these matters could help, I would really appreciate it.

Servus Truppenfahrrad Kameraden,
Some great looking bicycles posted. Is there some reason why they are not painted gloss black enamel? This was the standard paint scheme for Truppenfahrrads.
I've been working on my 1936 Masovia. Just got a new handlebar and stem set. I was riding my bike a few months back and the handlebar stem disintegrated on me while I was going up a hill! Had to hike home for several hours with my broken bike.
I'm still looking for a standard issue luggage rack. The one I have seems to be pre-war, though I have seen photographs showing this type being used during the war too.
Lepper still makes the period saddles. Here's the link (the WH type saddle is the last one...the 'Classic'):

I would also recommend the following book for anyone interested in Truppenfahrrads:
