Wartime Track Pins

I picked up a track pin in the ford at Moissy, but not know much about vehicles I was wondering what it maybe off. I pursume it's wartime as it was buried in the water bank with some tracer rounds.

It's 30mm in length, 16mm in diameter and has a makers mark? on the pin head which looks like MB.
