I have the cover for mine as well. The tool/spares fit in the top.

Here are the instructions:

Image

From memory:
1. Fuel with 1 part oil to 35 parts fuel.
2. Turn fuel on - open the drain valve to ensure it's flowing OK.
3. Move the choke to the middle position
4. Crank like fury
5. when it starts to turn over, quickly turn the blue knob 1/4 right and gently open the choke to 'betreib'.
6. Get up wind - if it's not been used for a while, they smoke like fury!
7. To stop - turn the blue knob left, and move the choke fully to the right.

Feldjager wrote:2 stroke cans in the carrying rack in the trailer - they have the blue/yellow stripe. These contain a 1:35 oil:petrol mix for the generators.

The marking was present on the original can, these have been restored.

The container at the left is kerosene for lanterns.
Hi Dave,

Cheers for info - excellent - does the blue/yellow stripe have any text painted on such as fuel/oil ratio?

I have one of the triangular cans and want to mark it up for my premix fuel... :)

Cheers, J

From memory I think they just have 'feuergefährlich' on them in red letters underneath the band. The generator cans we've also marked 'nur für Generatoren', based on a photo.
