GG400 Generator (as used in Tiger tanks, UHU etc...)

My talking about fuel cans made me go and drag this out of the shed, its a GG400 generator set, ive never tried to run it, do we have anyone here with a working example that could give me some tips on where to start?

I also have two of these GG400 Generators in very good condition .I would like to convert a OT 810 to a radio version of the SdKfz 251/3 and these generators drove the radios .You see them alot on German ebay.

They are sweet little genny's, those Paul. Come over to the mechanics section at the next bash :-) Think thats the same model as big Marks - and that prrrrssss!

hmm seems common them i got one too :wink:
im still to get mine running too
just like a car i supose with the points
had it fire but didnt persue it

I used to own one of these smaller Gen`s, and I`m sure they are electric push button start !

How much does a runner go for ?
